BLUE POPPY
Blue Poppy Florist specialises in beautifully fresh, home-grown garden flowers. Our workshop, near St Andrews in Fife, is surrounded by our own cut flower gardens where we grow seasonal flowers and greenery. During Spring, Summer and Autumn we offer our home-grown flowers. We love to use rare, more unusual varieties of flowers, full of colour and scent, and arranged naturally.

Let me start by saying we are not a traditional florist. When we are not arranging flowers, we are outside in the garden planting new varieties which have caught our eye.

We stay on a small holding but we do not grow fields of mass-produced flowers. Our family garden, created over 30 years, has been lovingly created with flowers grown in a natural, almost wild, way with little gems around every corner.

At the moment, our garden trails cover over an acre but we are always planting ‘just a little area over there’ when we need more room for new flowers. We grow all the florist favourites but concentrate on more unusual varieties of cut flowers. Our flowers are very much how they should be-seasonal, full of colour, texture and scent and perfect for a special occasion.

Our main growing season is March-December. If we do not have a particular flower requested, we will always try to source them locally(from friends with brilliant gardens!) before buying them in.
With no use of pesticides or insecticides, wildlife loves our flowers just as much as we do. Our flowers and greenery look (and smell!) just as fantastic at a grand event as at they do on a table in the home. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
